John Muir was always interested—and daunted—by nature and, after studying briefly at the University of Wisconsin, he left school for what he called “the University of the Wilderness.” He contemplated man’s relationship to nature, concluding that all life forms are significant, going on to eventually win acceptance of conservation as an environmental ethic, inspiring generations of wilderness advocates.
We believe you’ll become an advocate, too, once you behold the ancient redwood forest groves and Redwood Creek.
