The 160-room Victorian mansion had modern heating and sewer systems, gas lights that operated by pressing a button, working elevators and 47 fireplaces.
We know you’ll be amazed at the delicate workmanship of the hand-inlaid parquet floors, the gold and silver chandeliers, and Tiffany art-glass windows looking out on the gorgeous gardens as well as the creativity—and expense—that went into even the smallest detail.
